My Loneliness

A Stillness so vast so somber
like a Marigold shrub in
its autumn shrug
All the splendor and laughter
of the bygone years
visions of carefree gay dancing
seen through bleary cataract eyes

This is mourning for that
one glorious ride
suspended in a vacuum our time
enshrined in this moaning heart
a small capsule of your smile
The grey fog today seeks to hide
the radiance of bygone times
